Christina Barrington Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Scooter Crash on East Palm Canyon Drive [Cathedral City, CA]
60-Year-Old Cathedral City Woman Killed in Scooter Vs. Vehicle Collision near Bankside Drive
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (October 18, 2024) – Friday morning, a scooter crash on East Palm Canyon Drive claimed the life of Christina Barrington.
Police officers responded to reports of the collision around 12:46 a.m., near Bankside Drive.
Upon arrival, authorities determined that an unidentified vehicle rear-ended a person riding an eastbound scooter. The driver of the car then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Paramedics from the Cathedral City Fire Department transported the scooter rider to Desert Regional Hospital, where she died the next day.
Crews later identified the deceased victim as 60-year-old Barrington, of Cathedral City.
On Monday, authorities managed to locate the suspect’s vehicle in Rancho Mirage. However, the Cathedral City Police Department has not announced any arrest of the suspect.
