39-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Accident near Farm-to-Market Road 212

LYNN COUNTY, TX (October 17, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, Erin Nichole Osborn was killed in a stop-sign crash on US Highway 84.

Around 2:20 p.m., officers received calls near Farm-to-Market Road 212 on October 5th.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Osborn was driving a northbound Nissan Versa while 18-year-old Wayne Nelson Friesenhahn was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 southeast on US Highway.

For reasons under investigation, Osborn failed to yield at a stop-sign and collided with the Dodge Ram. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 39-year-old Osborn deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported Friesenhahn to Covenant Medical Center for further treatment of serious injuries.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
