Driver Severely Injured in Head-On Collision near Farm-to-Market Road 471

MEDINA COUNTY, TX (October 10, 2024) – Early Tuesday afternoon, one man was hospitalized following a fiery head-on crash on Potranco Road.

Police officers responded to the scene shortly after 1:00 p.m., near Farm-to-Market Road 471 on September 24th.

For reasons under investigation, two vehicles collided head-on in the area. First responders arrived and found one of the vehicles engulfed in flames, with the driver trapped inside.

Emergency crews were able to safely extricate the driver from the burning vehicle. Paramedics quickly airlifted the male victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment of serious injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the severely injured victim. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the head-on crash on Potranco Road.
