93-Year-Old Man Dies in Fiery Car Accident near Redd Road

EL PASO, TX (October 10, 2024) – Friday morning, Jesus Román Villezcas Carrazco was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 10.

First responders arrived to the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Redd Road around 1:00 a.m., on August 30th.

Investigators say a Toyota Sienna, and a Mercedes C300 driven by 36-year-old Alberto Gonzalez collided in the area. The impact pushed the Sienna into a concrete barrier, causing the vehicle to catch fire.

The Sienna was occupied by a 65-year-old man, a 60-year-old woman, and 93-year-old Carrazco. Reports indicate that Carrazco was unable to extricate himself from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the male and female occupant to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

In addition, responding authorities evaluated Gonzalez at the scene. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
