Three Critically Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident near North Detroit Avenue
LUBBOCK, TX (October 10, 2024) – Friday, Amber Chowning, Dalton Shaffer, and Bryanna Pedroza were hurt in a 2-car collision on Clovis Road.
Police officers responded to the scene shortly after 10:00 a.m., near North Detroit Avenue on September 20th.
For reasons under investigation, Chowning was driving a vehicle west on Clovis Road and collided with an eastbound vehicle, driven by Pedroza.
Paramedics arrived and transported three occupants, 41-year-old Amber Chowning, 30-year-old Dalton Shaffer to UMC for further treatment. In addition, medics took 21-year-old Bryanna Pedroza to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries.
During cleanup and preliminary duties, responding crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time. No charges on both driver were filed at this time, and the crash remains under investigation.
