One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard

AUSTIN, TX (October 9, 2024) – Wednesday evening, one fatality was reported following a pedestrian accident on Springdale Road.

Just before 9:35 p.m., the incident occurred near East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on September 25th.

Austin Police Officers say the driver of a vehicle struck an adult pedestrian near the intersection. However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.

Upon arrival, first responders located the pedestrian with critical injuries. Medics quickly administered CPR to the victim, before they eventually succumbed to their injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the name or place of residency of the deceased victim.

Responding troopers closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more information will be provided about the deadly pedestrian accident on Springdale Road.
