24-Year-Old Rosemead Man Dies in SUV-Motorcycle Collision near Taylor Drive
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (October 8, 2024) – One man was pronounced dead Friday evening, after a motorcycle crash on Beach Boulevard.
Dispatchers received calls around 7:00 p.m., near Taylor Drive. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.
Per reports, the driver of a northbound Mercedes-Benz GLS450 made a U-turn onto the southbound lanes. There, the Mercedes collided with the rider of a southbound 2024 Yamaha R1 motorcycle.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 47-year-old Huntington Beach man driving the Mercedes remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, police officers are asking those who witnessed the two-vehicle collision to contact the police at 714-536-5231.
