Man Dies in Stop Sign Collision on West Woodlawn Avenue [San Antonio, TX]
41-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Stop Sign Accident near Vollum Boulevard
SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 8, 2024) – Late Tuesday evening, one man was killed in a stop sign collision on West Woodlawn Avenue.
Around 11:00 p.m., police officers responded to the scene near Vollum Boulevard on September 24th.
Investigators say the driver of a pickup-truck ran through a stop sign at the intersection.
As a result, the pickup-truck hit another vehicle, causing it to overturn and eject the driver.
First responders located the male victim trapped underneath the pickup-truck. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 41-year-old man dead at the scene.
At this time, authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
In addition, the other driver did not sustain serious injuries.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. No additional information was added by troopers, and the stop sign collision on West Woodlawn Avenue remains under active investigation.
