FedEx Driver Killed in 3-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 35 [Cooke County, TX]
Unidentified FedEx Employee Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Accident near Hockley Creek Road
COOKE COUNTY, TX (October 8, 2024) – Friday morning, a deadly 3-vehicle collision on Interstate 35 claimed the life of a FedEx driver.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m., first responders arrived to the scene near Hockley Creek Road on September 27th.
Upon arrival, responding troopers located a rock hauler, a FedEx truck, and another vehicle. However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
In addition, the collision caused a radioactive chemical spill in the area, about 20 miles south of the Oklahoma border.
Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the driver of the FedEx truck deceased at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. During preliminary duties, crews were able to contain the chemical and oil spill.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal 3-vehicle collision on Interstate 35.
