1 Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Telegraph Canyon Road [Chula Vista, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Paseo Ranchero
CHULA VISTA, CA (October 8, 2024) – Thursday evening, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Telegraph Canyon Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:15 p.m., at the 1000 block of Telegraph Canyon Road near Paseo Ranchero.
Investigators say the driver of a passenger vehicle struck a pedestrian who was standing in the roadway.
Despite the life-saving efforts of medical responders, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Officials only identified the deceased victim to be in their early 20s.
Meanwhile, the 69-year-old Chula Vista resident driving the vehicle remained at the crash site and cooperated with authorities.
Police do not suspect intoxication as a factor of the collision. Anyone with additional information regarding the fatal pedestrian accident on Telegraph Canyon Road is asked to call the investigators at 619-782-3847.
