Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Crash near South Cockrell Hill Road

DUNCANVILLE, TX (October 4, 2024) – Late Tuesday evening, one woman was pronounced dead after a pedestrian collision on US Highway 67.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene around 12:00 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the highway near South Cockrell Hill Road on August 20th.

Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck a female pedestrian who was crossing the highway.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her name or place of residency.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. No charges will be filed against the driver.

During preliminary duties, troopers blocked the highway for several hours, and it was reopened by 3:00 a.m. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
