2 Men Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 43 [Tulare County, CA]
Two Men Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near Avenue 56
TULARE COUNTY, CA (October 4, 2024) – Early Monday morning, two male drivers were killed in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 43 near Visalia.
Shortly after midnight, California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene near Avenue 56, north of Allensworth.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a northbound Dodge Charger veered left and collided with a southbound GMC Canyon.
Afterward, the Charger continued going the wrong lane, directly into the path of a BMW 328I traveling behind the GMC. The impact of the crash sent the GMC and the BMW on the west dirt shoulder of Highway 43.
Responding officers declared the 60-year-old McFarland man driving the BMW and the 21-year-old Avenal driving the Dodge dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, responding paramedics transported the GMC driver to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Tulare County Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal Highway 43 three-vehicle crash.
