One Pronounced Dead after Bus vs Motorcycle Accident near Avenue F
AUSTIN, TX (October 3, 2024) – Tuesday morning, one person was pronounced dead after a motorcycle vs bus collision on East Koenig Lane.
Police officers received dispatch calls around 7:40 a.m., near Avenue F on September 24th.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, a CapMetro bus and a motorcycle collided in the area. However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
Upon arrival, authorities located one person with life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of their condition, medics later pronounced them dead. Although, investigators have not yet released their name or place of residency.
In addition, paramedics transported one other person to Dell Seton Medical Center for further treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department blocked all lanes at the intersection while they cleared the scene. Lanes have been deemed operable since.
No other information was added by the troopers, and an active investigation is still currently underway.
