Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Costco Parking Lot [Prescott, AZ]
92-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision in Parking Lot
PRESCOTT, AZ (October 2, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident in a Costco Parking Lot.
According to the Prescott Police troopers, the incident was reported just before 2:30 p.m., on August 27th.
Officers say the 68-year-old driver of a vehicle was heading north and attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot. There, the vehicle struck a 92-year-old female pedestrian and dragged her for several feet.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the elderly woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her name or place of residency.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, the Prescott Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section has not released additional statements, and further investigation remains ongoing.
Witnesses are encouraged to call Officer Bardon at 928-777-1943. Once available, more details about the fatal pedestrian accident in the Costco Parking Lot will be released.
