Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Colliding with Bus near Litchfield Road

GLENDALE, AZ (October 2, 2024) – Friday afternoon, one rider was fatally struck in a motorcycle collision on Claremont Street.

Glendale Police Officers responded to the scene around 3:15 p.m., near Litchfield Road on September 6th.

According to preliminary reports, a motorcyclist swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision. However, the rider then crashed into a school-bus.

Investigators say the bus did not have any students inside at the time.

Emergency responders arrived and found the rider suffering from life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of their condition, medics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities blocked Litchfield Road from Bethany Home Road to Glendale Avenue while they cleared the scene. All lanes have been reopened since, and further investigation about the motorcycle collision on Claremont Street has taken place.
