One Man Pronounced Dead after Bus Vs. Pedestrian Collision near Club Center Drive
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 2, 2024) – Monday morning, one man was fatally struck by a bus in a pedestrian crash on Banfield Drive.
Authorities received dispatch calls shortly after 7:30 a.m., near Club Center Drive in North Natomas.
At this time, the circumstances leading up to the collision remain unclear.
However, reports indicate that a Sacramento RT Smart Ride shuttle bus struck a pedestrian in the area. Upon impact, the bus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, police officers have not yet released his name or place of residency.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased victim once available. Police officers only described the victim as a man in his 60s.
