44-Year-Old Yokuts Valley Man Killed in Single-Car Crash near Fulgham Lane
YOKUTS VALLEY, CA (October 2, 2023) – Saturday, one person died and Alex Alejo was injured in a solo-vehicle collision on Elwood Road.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the intersection of Eldwood Road and Fulgham Lane area shortly before 8:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, authorities determined that a northbound Chevrolet pickup-truck veered into the west dirt shoulder. The pickup then crashed into a lone tree, leaving the two occupants in the vehicle injured.
Responding medical personnel airlifted the driver to the Community Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators later described the driver as a 44-year-old man.
Meanwhile, the passenger – identified as Alex Alejo – was taken to a hospital via ground ambulances for treatment of moderate injuries.
Fresno County officials are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
