Robert Leeper Dead, Roberto Ramos Cisneros Arrested after DUI Hit-and-Run Crash on Floral Avenue [Selma, CA]
39-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on Wright Street
SELMA, CA (October 1, 2024) – Tuesday, Robert Leeper died and Robert Ramos Cisneros was arrested after a hit-and-run crash on Floral Avenue.
Around 8:15 p.m., first responders arrived to the intersection of Floral Avenue and Wright Street on September 20th.
Investigators say Cisneros was driving a vehicle and struck Leeper before fleeing the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities. Dispatchers located Leeper down on the roadway with life-threatening injuries.
Due to the extent of his condition, medics later pronounced Leeper deceased.
Following preliminary duties, troopers were able to locate the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Roberto Ramos Cisneros. Officers determined that he was a worker at the City of Selma’s Public Works Department.
Authorities booked Cisneros into the Fresno County Jail with charges of gross vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run resulting in death, and DUI-related charges.
