37-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision near Bethany Home Road

PHOENIX, AZ (October 1, 2024) – Friday night, Matthew Argentino was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on 27th Avenue.

Dispatchers received calls around 8:45 p.m., near Bethany Home Road on September 20th.

Investigators say Argentino was crossing mid-block on 27th Avenue when the driver of a northbound gray four-door sedan struck him.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 37-year-old Argentino dead at the scene.

Investigators are still working on the case and will provide more information about the hit-and-run crash on 27th Avenue as it becomes available.
