62-Year-Old Man and 63-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident near Ellis Road

YUBA COUNTY, CA (October 1, 2024) – Late Monday evening, Anthony Montana and Traci Conley were killed in a motorcycle collision on Highway 70.

First responders arrived to the scene just before 11:30 p.m., at the 8600 block of Highway 70 near Ellis Road on September 23rd.

Police officers say the 21-year-old male driver of a northbound Toyota Corolla entered the intersection and turned in front of a motorcyclist, resulting in a collision.

The impact ejected the riders of the Harley-Davidson, Montana and Conley, onto the road.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced 62-year-old Montana and 63-year-old Conley dead at the scene due to the extent of injuries sustained.

At this time, it was unknown how fast Montana was going.

Following preliminary duties, alcohol or drugs were ruled out as a potential factor. Further investigation remains ongoing.
