Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Collision on Evergreen Street [San Diego, CA]
70-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash near Cañon Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 26, 2024) – A bicycle collision on Evergreen Street claimed the life of a 70-year-old man, Saturday afternoon.
Around 2:38 p.m., police officers responded to the intersection near Cañon Street.
San Diego officers determined that a 92-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet Volt and turned left onto Evergreen Street, directly into the path of an eastbound cyclist.
As a result, the bicycle rider hit the right door of the Chevy.
Medical responders transported the man riding the bicycle to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. At this time, his name remains undisclosed to the public.
