72-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after School Bus vs Pedestrian Collision near FM 493
DONNA, TX (September 26, 2024) – Wednesday, Feliberto Romero Ramirez was killed in a school bus vs pedestrian crash on Hernandez Road.
The incident happened just before 7:00 a.m., near FM 493 on September 11th. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after.
Reports indicate that 72-year-old Ramirez was walking on the south side of Hernandez Road when a Weslaco ISD school bus struck him.
The bus driver stopped to assist, and emergency crews rushed Ramirez to a local hospital, where he later died. Meanwhile, the district confirmed that no students were on the bus during the accident.
