85-Year-Old Man and Woman Dead, 1 Hospitalized after Multi-Car Collision near 15th Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (September 25, 2024) – Saturday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Bell Road left Fouad Shawo and Virginia Nathan dead.

First responders arrived to the scene around 9:25 a.m., near 15th Avenue on September 21st.

Investigators report that Shawo was driving west on Bell Road with his passenger, Nathan. For reasons under investigation, another vehicle struck them while they were turning left onto 15th Avenue.

Medical personnel arrived and took 85-year-old Shawo and 85-year-old Nathan to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the driver of the other vehicle to a nearby hospital, where they are now in stable condition.

No further details regarding the multi-vehicle crash on Bell Road have been released to the public. The Phoenix Police Department will provide more information once available.
