Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near South Cockrell Hill Road

DUNCANVILLE, TX (September 24, 2024) – Late Tuesday evening, one woman was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on Highway 67.

Authorities responded to the northbound lanes of the freeway just before 12:00 a.m., near South Cockrell Hill Road on August 20th.

Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck a female pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Police officers have not yet released the identity of the deceased woman.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

In addition, authorities blocked the northbound lanes for several hours before it was reopened by 3:00 a.m. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
