Three Pronounced Dead after Fiery Single-Car Accident near Warren Avenue
FREMONT, CA (September 23, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, three people were pronounced dead after a fiery solo-car crash on Interstate 880.
Dispatchers received calls around 5:53 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway, near the Warren Avenue over-crossing.
Responding emergency personnel learned that the driver of a vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier for reasons unknown. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to catch on fire.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced three occupants from inside the vehicle dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation surrounding the Interstate 880 solo-vehicle crash. Fremont officials will release additional information regarding the incident once available.
