48-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Collision near 21st Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 19, 2024) – Thursday night, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Sutterville Road in Land Park.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene around 9:05 p.m., near the intersection of Sutterville Road and 21st Street.
Police officers say the driver of a vehicle struck a woman who was attempting to cross Sutterville Road near Sacramento City College.
First responders rushed the female pedestrian to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries on Monday. Officials only described the deceased victim as a 48-year-old woman.
Additionally, police officers said the involved driver remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with authorities.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
