Five Minors Hospitalized after DUI Collision near McDowell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (September 19, 2024) – Saturday evening, five children sustained injuries in a 3-vehicle DUI accident on 27th Street.

First responders arrived to the scene around 7:30 p.m., near McDowell Road on September 14th.

For reasons under investigation, three vehicles collided near the intersection. Emergency medics arrived and located five children, aged 5 to 17, suffering from serious injuries.

Paramedics quickly transported all five children to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.

Following preliminary duties, troopers determined that one driver was impaired at the time of the crash. An active investigation to provide further information about the 3-vehicle DUI accident on 27th Street is still currently underway.
