3 Injured in DUI Crash on West Olympic Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]
Three Hurt in Two-Vehicle Collision near Georgia Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 19, 2024) – Three people sustained injuries early Saturday morning, in a DUI crash on West Olympic Boulevard.
The incident occurred in the 900 block of West Olympic Boulevard near Georgia Street around 12:30 a.m.
Los Angeles Police Officers responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Per reports, the driver of a Tesla sedan ran through a red-light and consequently collided with an SUV that was traveling through the intersection.
The impact pushed the SUV onto the curb, where it hit two pedestrians and two food trucks. Footage from the scene also shows a damaged brick wall and ATM.
In addition, officers say one of the pedestrians was pinned in between the SUV and the food truck.
Responding emergency personnel reported three people that were injured from the incident. Moreover, medics transported at least one patient to a local hospital.
Following preliminary duties, crews arrested the driver of the Tesla for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. The LAPD will provide updates regarding the West Olympic Boulevard DUI crash once available.
