Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Blackstone Avenue [Fresno, CA]
Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Spruce Avenue
FRESNO, CA (September 18, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a woman was fatally injured in a pedestrian accident on Blackstone Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 3:19 a.m., at the intersection of Blackstone and Spruce Avenue.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a southbound vehicle on Blackstone struck a pedestrian in the No.1 lane. Detectives say the driver had a green light at the time of the crash.
Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced the female victim dead at the scene. She was only identified as a 70-year-old woman.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
