28-Year-Old Man Dead, 68-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after 2-Vehicle Collision near West Amarillo Road

AMARILLO, TX (September 18, 2024) – Tuesday, Andrew Spring died and another person was injured in motorcycle vs. SUV crash on Soncy Road.

Dispatchers received calls around 10:30 a.m., near West Amarillo Boulevard on September 10th.

Reports indicate that the 68-year-old female driver of a 2022 Mazda 9 was heading south on Soncy Road and attempted to turn east onto West Amarillo Boulevard.

There, she collided with a northbound 2024 CF Moto sport motorcycle, operated by 28-year-old Spring.

The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the SUV, ejecting Spring from his bike onto the road.

Emergency responders transported Spring to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the Mazda remained uninjured.
