Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on 35th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Dunlap Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (September 17, 2024) – Late Monday evening, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on 35th Avenue.
Dispatchers received calls around 10:45 p.m., near Dunlap Avenue on September 9th.
Following preliminary duties, investigators determined that a woman was crossing Dunlap Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of a passing vehicle struck her, causing serious wounds.
Phoenix Police Officers located the woman down on the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics quickly transported her to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Due to the extent of her condition, medics later pronounced the female pedestrian deceased. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.
Meanwhile, the involved driver involved remained and the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the fatal pedestrian accident on 35th Avenue is still currently underway.
