One Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Sunrise Boulevard

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (September 17, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a motorcycle accident on Antelope Road fatally injured one rider.

Police officers responded to the scene around 3:15 p.m., near Sunrise Boulevard and Mariposa Avenue.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle and a motorcyclist collided in the area. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the rider deceased at the scene.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased rider once available.

It is still unclear if the involved driver sustained injuries in the crash.

The Citrus Heights Police closed the stretch of eastbound Antelope Road as crews investigated the fatal two-vehicle crash. 

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal motorcycle accident on Antelope Road.
