60-Year-Old Man Fatally Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash near Venetian Drive
STOCKTON, CA (September 13, 2024) – Early Tuesday evening, a fatal hit-and-run on West March Lane led to the arrest of Giovanni Angelo.
Dispatchers received calls around 6:45 p.m., near Venetian Drive.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver an unidentified vehicle hit the pedestrian before continuing westbound. Authorities only described the suspect’s vehicle as a dark-colored sedan.
Despite life-saving efforts, first responders pronounced the male victim dead at the scene. He was described as a 60-year-old man, however, his name remains undisclosed to the public.
On Wednesday, authorities reported that they had managed to detain 23-year-old Giovanni Angelo in the hit-and-run.
Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal March Lane hit-and-run to contact the Stockton Police Department.
