Keith Auzenne Jr. Arrested after Reckless Crash on Miller Road [Buckeye, AZ]
37-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after Violent Accident on Baseline Road
BUCKEYE, AZ (September 13, 2024) – Monday afternoon, Keith Auzenne Jr. was arrested after a reckless crash on Miller Road.
The Buckeye Police Department responded to the scene shortly after 12:00 p.m., near Baseline Road on September 2nd.
According to reports, 37-year-old Auzenne Jr. got into an argument with his girlfriend while she was driving a Hyundai Kona.
The girlfriend pulled over and Auzenne Jr. got into the drivers seat. Auzenne then accelerated to 100 mph and swerved to avoid striking a pickup-truck before crashing into the patio of an apartment building. The building was occupied by several people, including four children.
One of the children sustained a foot injury from the shards of glass. Paramedics quickly transported all injured victims including Auzenne Jr. and his girlfriend to a nearby hospital. He admitted to smoking methamphetamine before the incident.
Eventually, officers booked Auzenne Jr. into the Maricopa County jail where he faces 14 counts, including aggravated assault, kidnapping, criminal damage, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI-related charges, and reckless driving with a suspended license.
Investigators also say the crash caused over $100,000 of damage to the structure.
