6 Killed, 4 Injured in Fiery 3-Car Collision on Gilman Springs Road [Nuevo, CA]
Six Pronounced Dead after Chain-Reaction Crash near Bridge Street
NUEVO, CA (September 13, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a 3-car-collision on Gilman Springs Road left six dead and several others injured.
Police officers responded to the scene around 2:20 p.m., near Bridge Street.
Investigators say the driver of a westbound sedan attempted to pass multiple vehicles by veering into the eastbound lanes. There, the sedan struck two other vehicles.
Responding firefighters discovered at least three vehicles on the scene fully engulfed in flames.
Medical personnel declared six people involved in the wreckage dead at the scene. The names of the deceased victims remain undisclosed to the public.
Meanwhile, paramedics rushed four other patients to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment of minor to major injuries.
Ultimately, the CHP and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office deputies closed both sides of Gilman Springs Road to conduct clearing operations. Authorities continue to investigate the 3-car collision on Gilman Springs Road.
