Woman Severely Injured Two-Vehicle Collision near Rosedale Highway

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 11, 2024) – Late Sunday morning, Rose Jamie was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident on Highway 99.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 11:41 a.m., just south of Rosedale Highway.

Reports indicate that the driver of a black sedan collided with a woman riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle along the northbound lanes of the highway.

The impact ejected Jaime onto the road, causing serious injuries. Investigators also say she was live streaming at the time of the crash.

Paramedics arrived and transported Jaime to Kern Medical for treatment of major injuries.

Authorities also closed three out of four lanes on Highway 99 for about thirty minutes to conduct an investigation. Bakersfield Officials will provide more information regarding the motorcycle crash once available.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.

Motorcyclists rarely escape injury when an accident occurs. It is important to never underestimate the bike’s speed when you’re riding a motorcycle. Give motorcyclists a full traffic lane when you pass, as they too have equal rights on the road.
