Male Driver Killed, 1 Injured in 2-Car Accident on Highway 41 [Kings County, CA]
22-Year-Old Arkansas Man Pronounced Dead after Pickup-Truck vs SUV Collision near Nevada Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (September 11, 2024) – Wednesday, one male driver was killed and another was injured in a 2-car accident on Highway 41.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the northbound lanes of the freeway just north of Nevada Avenue around 10:30 p.m.
Investigators say the driver of a southbound white Toyota Rav4 veered into the oncoming lanes for reasons unknown.
As a result, the Toyota collided head-on with a northbound tan Toyota Tacoma, causing the pickup-truck to overturn.
Responding medical personnel declared the sole occupant of the Rav 4, a 22-year-old man from Arkansas, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the overturned Tacoma, a 26-year-old man from Hanford sustained minor injuries and was treated at the site of the crash.
Kings County Officials are working to determine if drugs and alcohol contributed to the cause of the crash. Authorities are asking those who witnessed the fatal Highway 41 two-vehicle crash to come forward as soon as possible.
