39-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Semi vs Pickup-Truck Collision near West Avenue G
LANCASTER, CA (September 11, 2024) – Late Monday night, Gregory Sherman Jr. was killed in a semi-truck accident on 30th Street West.
Dispatchers received calls around 11:00 p.m., near West Avenue G.
Investigators say the driver of a northbound semi-truck attempted to turn left onto West Avenue G.
There, the driver of an eastbound blue pickup-truck hit the back of the tractor-trailer, causing life-threatening injuries to the pickup-truck driver.
Los Angeles County Fire Department units declared the pickup-truck driver dead at the scene after receiving traumatic injuries. On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the deceased driver as 39-year-old Gregory Sherman Jr.
Lancaster Officials continue to investigate the fatal collision. Once available, further details will be provided.
