16-Year-Old High School Student Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Crash near Blacow Road
FREMONT, CA (September 11, 2024) – Wednesday evening, Dylan Reagan was fatally struck in a motorcycle collision on Osgood Road.
First responders arrived to the scene around 5:50 p.m., at the 43000 block of Osgood Road, near Blacow Road.
Investigators learned that a southbound motorcycle collided with a northbound passenger vehicle making a left turn.
Despite life-saving measures, responding firefighters pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Police officers identified the victim as 16-year-old Reagan, a junior and athlete at Mission San Jose High School. Reagan’s father stated that he served food to the elderly at Carlton Senior Living and will be deeply missed by his community.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with investigators.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
The Fremont Police Traffic Unit asks those who witnessed the deadly crash to contact their offices by calling 510-790-6760. Once available, further details will be provided.
