33-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Accident near 73 Toll Road

LAGUNA BEACH, CA (September 10, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Laguna Canyon Road. 

Police officers responded to the 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Road around 5:00 a.m., just south of the 73 Toll Road.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a man who was crossing Laguna Canyon Road outside of a marked crosswalk.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the 33-year-old male pedestrian deceased. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency. 

Investigators claimed the pedestrian was walking toward a shelter for transients near Laguna Coast Wilderness Park prior to the incident. 

Following preliminary duties, police officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a factor.
