Two Victims Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near 605 Freeway

CERRITOS, CA (September 9, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, Jabarri Adams and Ruby Perez were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on 91 Freeway.

Police officers responded to the scene around 7:00 a.m., near 605 Freeway on September 1st after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a big-rig crashed into a silver pickup-truck and became disabled in the No.2 lane.

Shortly after, the driver of a Honda Accord rear-ended the stalled vehicles, causing life-threatening injuries to the occupants.

Emergency medics arrived and pronounced 25-year-old Jabarri Adams and 25-year-old Ruby Perez deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics transported two others to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Authorities have not yet released their identities.

At 6:54 a.m., authorities closed all eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway at the 605 Freeway. Police are still investigating the multi-vehicle crash and will provide updates as soon as they have more information.
