37-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after DUI Collision near Sunnyside Avenue
CLOVIS, CA (September 3, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a motorcycle accident on Barstow Avenue claimed the life of Josh Cowdrey.
First responders arrived to the scene around 10:45 a.m., near Sunnyside Avenue on August 28th.
Investigators say Cowdrey was riding a motorcycle west on Barstow Avenue when the driver of a small red SUV turned in front of him. As a result, the two vehicles collided near the intersection.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 37-year-old Cowdrey deceased at the scene.
Following preliminary duties, police officers determined that the female driver of the SUV, 57-year-old Tammera Pittman, of Clovis was intoxicated. Authorities arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence.
