27-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Peoria Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (September 3, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, Austin Coon was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on 35th Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 12:00 p.m., near Peoria Avenue on August 29th.

For reasons under investigation, two vehicles collided at the scene. One of the vehicles was pushed into three pedestrians who were standing along the road.

Due to the impact of the crash, Coon and another woman suffered serious injuries. Paramedics transported the woman to a nearby hospital while 27-year-old Coon passed away at the scene.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
