38-Year-Old Kingsburg Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Go-Kart Collision near Peach Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 28, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Kenneth Owen was killed in a Go-Kart crash on Mountain View Avenue. 

The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m., near Peach Avenue.

California Highway Patrol officers say the driver of a westbound Toyota Tacoma rear-ended a Go-Kart that was not street legal.

Investigators say the Toyota driver briefly stopped before fleeing the scene without rendering aid to the Go-Kart rider. 

Responding EMTs declared the go-kart driver dead at the scene. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased victim as 38-year-old Owen, of Kingsburg. 

At this time, authorities are searching for a white 2012-2015 Toyota Tacoma with front-end damage from the collision.
