Justo Feliciano Esteban Fatally Struck in Two-Vehicle Crash on Russell Road [Salinas, CA]
19-Year-Old Passenger Killed in 2-Car Collision near Harrison Road
SALINAS, CA (August 28, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Justo Feliciano Esteban was fatally struck in a two-vehicle crash on Russell Road.
Dispatchers received calls around 6:00 a.m., near Harrison Road.
Following investigative procedures, police officers determined that the driver of a northbound Honda SUV collided with a Lexus Sedan at the intersection.
California Highway Patrol officers say the Lexus was heading south and attempted to make a left turn onto Russell Road when it his the SUV.
Responding medical units declared the front right-seat passenger of the Lexus dead at the scene. Later, the Monterey County Coroner’s Office ID’d the deceased victim as 19-year-old Esteban, of Salinas.
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old Salinas woman driving the Honda sustained minor injuries and refused further medical transport. The 27-year-old Salinas man driving the Lexus remained uninjured.
At this time, the CHP is unclear on which of the two drivers was at fault in the incident. Salinas Officials will provide more information about the fatal Russell Road crash once available.
