51-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig vs Sedan Collision near East Avenue J
LANCASTER, CA (August 22, 2024) – Friday evening, Kevin Gately Jr. was fatally injured in a semi-truck accident on Longview Road.
Police officers arrived to the scene around 9:40 p.m., near East Avenue J.
For reasons under investigation, a semi-truck and a gray Toyota sedan collided in the area, trapping the sedan underneath the semi-truck.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver of the Toyota dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased victim as 51-year-old Gately Jr.
No additional information about the Longview Road truck crash has been released to the public. Lancaster Officials are working to provide more details once available.
