Two Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Accident near 152nd Street East

LANCASTER, CA (August 22, 2024) – Monday morning, a 3-car collision on Palmdale Boulevard killed Jesus Garcia Ibarra and one other person.

Around 11:40 a.m., police officers arrived to the intersection of East Palmdale Boulevard and 152nd Street East. 

According to the officials, at least three vehicles were involved in the collision. However, the circumstances that led up to the incident remain unclear. 

Reports indicate that one of the involved vehicles sustained significant damage and ended up on its side. 

Responding units from the county fire department declared two people dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office later identified one of the deceased victims as 30-year-old Jesus Garcia Ibarra.

Meanwhile, paramedics treated two other people at the scene for unspecified injuries. Utility crews were also called to the scene to repair a power pole damaged from the collision. 

Authorities have not disclosed any further details about the fatal three-vehicle crash at this time.
