46-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision near East Oak Street
PHOENIX, AZ (August 22, 2024) – Early Saturday, David Pinkerton died a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on North 40th Street.
Phoenix Police Troopers received calls around 1:45 a.m., near Oak Street on August 17th.
First responders located 46-year-old Pinkerton lying on the road with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the driver of a vehicle struck him and immediately fled the scene without contacting police officers.
Paramedics quickly transported the male pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he later passed away.
At this time, the suspect remains at large and there is no description of the involved vehicle. An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
