Man Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 [Everett, WA]
Man Falls from Overpass, Struck by Passing Vehicles near State Route 526
EVERETT, WA (August 20, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, one man was pronounced dead after a multi-car pedestrian accident on Interstate 5.
Washington State Patrol officers responded to the scene just before 4:40 a.m., near State Route 526 on August 8th.
According to troopers, a male pedestrian fell from the overpass of State Route 526. The pedestrian was then struck by multiple vehicles passing along the southbound lanes of I-5.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. The man was only identified as a 52-year-old Mukilteo man.
Furthermore, the troopers blocked the southbound lanes of I-5 for several hours, and it was reopened by 9:10 a.m.
