Madison Stouard Killed, Bladen Turnier and Cody Dixon Hurt in Head-On Collision on State Highway 92 [Jones County, TX]
21-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Box-Truck Accident near Stamford
JONES COUNTY, TX (August 19, 2024) – Saturday, Madison Stouard died, and Bladen Turnier and Cody Dixon were hurt in a head-on collision.
Authorities responded to the scene around 9:20 a.m., on Highway 92 about four miles south of Stamford on August 10th.
Per reports, Stouard was driving a 2024 Volkswagen Taos SUV east on the freeway, behind a 2006 Ford tanker-truck, driven by 34-year-old Dixon.
Stouard then attempted to pass the tanker-truck by veering into the oncoming lanes. There, the SUV struck another 2016 Chevrolet Express box-truck head-on, driven by Turnier.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 21-year-old Souard, of Wichita Falls dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported 23-year-old Turnier, of Fort Worth to Hendrick Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. In addition, crews treated Dixon, of Wichita Falls at the scene.
Following preliminary duties, officers stated that all drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time. Moreover, road conditions were dry.
